winkers

Equine vision limiters

Winkers are blinders—the leather flaps attached to a horse's bridle to block peripheral vision and keep the animal focused forward.

In British slang, winkers are also eyes or eyelashes: She batted her winkers at him.

The term occasionally refers to turn signals on a vehicle.
