winker
Bridle eye shield
A winker is someone or something that winks.
The term most commonly refers to a horse's blinder—the leather flap beside the eye that restricts peripheral vision and keeps the animal focused forward.
In British slang, winkers are turn signals on a vehicle: Put your winkers on before you change lanes.
The word also appears in informal speech for an eyelid or eye itself.
