wakeboard

Boat-pulled board

A wakeboard is a short, wide board used for riding on water while being towed behind a motorboat, similar to a water ski but ridden sideways like a snowboard.

The rider performs jumps and tricks using the boat's wake as a ramp.

As a verb, to wakeboard is to ride one: We went wakeboarding at the lake.
