unship

Take off vessel

To unship is to remove something from its proper position or mounting, especially aboard a vessel.

Sailors unship oars by lifting them from the oarlocks, or unship a mast by taking it down.

The term extends to any removal from a fixed position: He unshipped the tiller to stow it below.

In nautical contexts, unship also means to unload cargo from a ship.
