trolls
Digital discussion disruptors
Trolls are mythical creatures from Scandinavian folklore—large, ugly beings that dwell in caves or under bridges.
In internet usage, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory or provocative content to upset others or derail discussion: Don't feed the trolls.
To troll is to fish by trailing bait behind a boat, or to deliberately provoke online: He was just trolling for reactions.
