trolley lines
Electric rail paths
Trolley lines are the overhead electric wires that power streetcars and trolleys, or the transit routes those vehicles travel.
The term evokes early-to-mid twentieth-century urban transportation: The old trolley lines have been converted to bus routes.
In some cities, trolley lines still operate as heritage transit or tourist attractions.
