lurkers
They watch silently
Lurkers are people who observe without participating.
The term is most common in online contexts—someone who reads forums, chat rooms, or social media without posting or commenting is lurking.
Most of the group's members are lurkers who never say anything.
The word carries mild disapproval, suggesting someone who watches from the shadows rather than engaging openly.
