transgendered

Identifying differently now

Transgendered is a now-disfavored variant of transgender, used as an adjective describing people whose gender identity differs from the sex assigned at birth.

The -ed suffix is considered grammatically unnecessary and potentially offensive, as it implies something happened to make someone transgender rather than it being an inherent identity.

Transgender is the preferred form: a transgender woman, not a transgendered woman.
