prejudice
Judgment before facts
Prejudice is a judgment or opinion in the absence of reasonable grounds.
Prejudice is typically directed against people or groups who are different in a particular way from biased person: As the only African-American children growing up in a white neighborhood, they became familiar with prejudice at an early age.
To prejudice someone is to cause them to respond with favorable or unfavorable bias.
In a legal context, to prejudice something is to cause damage: The judge decided that admitting the evidence would prejudice the administration of justice.
