tolerance break
Reset sensitivity period
A tolerance break is a period of deliberate abstinence from a substance—typically cannabis or another drug—to reduce the body's accumulated tolerance.
Regular use diminishes a drug's effects; stopping temporarily resets sensitivity so smaller doses become effective again: I'm taking a tolerance break so I don't have to smoke so much.
Often shortened to T-break.
