time-traveler

Past-future visitor

A time-traveler is someone who moves between different points in time, a concept from science fiction rather than reality.

The word appears in stories about visiting the past or future: The time-traveler warned them about events yet to come.

By extension, someone deeply out of step with their era might be called a time-traveler: With his flip phone and encyclopedias, he seemed like a time-traveler from the nineties.
