televiewer
Broadcast audience member
A televiewer is someone who watches television—a television viewer.
The word appeared in the early days of broadcasting but never caught on, losing out to the simpler *viewer* or *TV viewer*.
It occasionally appears in formal or technical contexts: The study surveyed televiewers across three age groups.
