picture-in-picture

Floating video overlay

Picture-in-picture is a display feature that shows a smaller video window within a larger one, allowing viewers to watch two sources simultaneously.

It originated with televisions, letting users monitor one channel while watching another, and has since spread to computers and mobile devices.

I use picture-in-picture to keep an eye on the game while browsing.

The feature is often abbreviated PiP or PIP.
