sysop
Bulletin board manager
Sysop is short for system operator—the person who runs and maintains a computer system, particularly a bulletin board system (BBS) or online forum.
The term dates from the early days of personal computing, when hobbyists ran dial-up systems from their homes: The sysop banned him for trolling.
Now largely nostalgic, replaced by terms like admin or moderator.
