pronate

Rotate hand inward

To pronate is to rotate a limb so that the palm or sole faces downward or backward.

When you turn your forearm so your palm faces the floor, you're pronating it.

Runners who pronate roll their feet inward when they strike the ground: I overpronate, so I need stability shoes.

The opposite is supinate.
