Dueling weapon, blunted
A type of fencing sword with a stiff, narrow blade and a blunted tip, used in competitive fencing.
Unlike the foil and sabre, the épée allows touches anywhere on the body, making it the closest modern weapon to historical dueling swords.
The word is French for "sword."
