pronating
Palm facing down
Pronating is rotating a limb inward.
The term appears most often in sports and medicine: pronating the forearm turns the palm downward, while pronating the foot rolls it inward during walking or running.
Runners who overpronate—whose feet roll inward excessively—often need corrective footwear.
She was pronating too much, which caused knee pain.
