stun grenade
Tactical blinding device
A stun grenade is a weapon designed to disorient rather than kill, producing an intense flash of light and deafening bang that temporarily blinds and deafens anyone nearby.
Also called a flashbang.
Used by military and police forces during raids or hostage situations where lethal force is undesirable: SWAT threw a stun grenade through the window before entering.
