splash screen
App startup image
A splash screen is a graphic that appears briefly while a program or app loads, typically showing a logo or branding.
It fills the gap between launching software and being able to use it: The game's splash screen displays the developer's logo for three seconds.
On websites, splash screens greet visitors before the main content appears.
