splash page
Site's opening screen
A splash page is an introductory screen that appears before a website's main content loads, typically displaying a logo, animation, or age verification prompt.
In comics, a splash page is a full-page illustration without panels, used for dramatic effect at key moments: The issue opened with a stunning splash page of the hero mid-flight.
