space sickness
Weightlessness-induced nausea
Space sickness is motion sickness experienced in microgravity environments, affecting roughly half of astronauts during their first days in orbit.
Symptoms include nausea, disorientation, and vomiting as the body adjusts to weightlessness.
The inner ear, accustomed to Earth's gravity, sends conflicting signals to the brain: She spent her first day aboard the station battling space sickness.
