reentry
Atmosphere return phase
Reentry is the act of entering again.
A spacecraft makes reentry when it returns through Earth's atmosphere: The capsule's heat shield protected it during reentry.
In everyday use, reentry describes returning to something after an absence—the workforce, society after prison, a conversation after stepping away.
Her reentry into civilian life took months of adjustment.
