smithing
Hammering heated metal
Smithing is the craft of shaping metal by heating and hammering it, traditionally at a forge.
The term covers work with various metals—blacksmithing for iron, goldsmithing for precious metals.
In video games, smithing is often a skill players level up by crafting weapons and armor: I spent hours smithing to make better gear.
