slap shot
Full-swing puck launch
A slap shot is a hockey shot where the player winds up and strikes the puck with a forceful slapping motion, generating maximum velocity.
The stick blade contacts the ice just before the puck, creating a whipping action.
It's the hardest shot in hockey but sacrifices accuracy for power: He wound up for a slap shot from the blue line.
