forehand
Tennis stroke type
Forehand describes the side of the body where the palm naturally faces forward—for a right-handed person, the right side.
In tennis and similar racket sports, a forehand is a stroke hit with the palm facing the direction of the swing: She has a devastating forehand.
The forehand side generally produces more natural power than the backhand.
