shoulder-blade

Upper back bone

The shoulder-blade is the flat, triangular bone at the back of the shoulder, connecting the upper arm to the collarbone.

Also called the scapula.

The blades move visibly beneath the skin when the arms reach or stretch: Her shoulder-blades jutted out as she hunched over the desk.
