second wave
Epidemic's encore surge
Second wave describes a later surge or resurgence of something that arrived in distinct phases.
Most often it refers to the feminist movement of the 1960s–80s, distinguished from first-wave suffrage activism and later third-wave feminism.
The term applies to other phenomena arriving in stages: a second wave of infections, the second wave of British Invasion bands.
During epidemics, a second wave typically follows an initial outbreak after a period of decline.
