Gloria Steinem
Gloria Steinem is an American feminist, journalist, and activist who became the most recognizable face of the women's liberation movement in the 1970s.
She co-founded *Ms.* magazine and helped establish feminist organizations including the National Women's Political Caucus.
Her name often appears as shorthand for second-wave feminism: My mother's generation had Gloria Steinem; we have different battles.
