schools
Where pupils gather
Schools are institutions for teaching and learning, typically for children and adolescents: elementary school, high school.
The word extends to universities and specialized training programs: law school, film school.
A school is also a group of fish or other aquatic animals swimming together.
As a verb, to school someone is to educate or train them, or informally, to defeat them decisively while demonstrating superior skill: He got schooled on the basketball court.
A school of thought is a shared set of beliefs or methods among a group.
