unschooling
Child-led education philosophy
Unschooling is an approach to homeschooling that rejects formal curricula in favor of child-directed learning.
Rather than following lesson plans or textbooks, children pursue their own interests, with parents facilitating rather than instructing.
The philosophy holds that natural curiosity drives deeper learning than imposed structure: We've been unschooling for three years now—my daughter learned to read through video games.
