schoolroom
Where lessons happen
A schoolroom is a room where classes are taught, especially in elementary schools or in older educational settings.
The word evokes traditional education—desks in rows, a chalkboard, a teacher at the front: The old schoolroom still had its original wooden benches.
Modern usage often favors classroom.
