Aircraft weapon mount
A rocket pod is a container mounted on aircraft or helicopters that holds and launches multiple unguided rockets.
The pod typically fires in rapid succession during ground attack missions: The helicopter's rocket pods unleashed a barrage on enemy positions.
Unlike guided missiles, rockets from pods are aimed by pointing the aircraft itself.
