roadmaster
Railway section overseer
Roadmaster is a title for someone who oversees road maintenance or railroad track conditions.
In railroading, the roadmaster supervises a section of track and the crews who maintain it.
The word also appears as a brand name—Buick produced the Roadmaster sedan from the 1930s through 1990s, and Roadmaster is a bicycle brand: My grandfather drove a '55 Roadmaster.
