racing line
Fastest cornering route
The racing line is the optimal path around a racetrack—the route that allows a vehicle to carry maximum speed through corners.
It typically involves entering wide, cutting to the inside apex, and exiting wide again: He nailed the racing line through turn three.
Finding the racing line is fundamental to competitive driving, whether in motorsports or serious amateur track days.
