S-bend
Sinuous pipe section
An S-bend is a pipe or section curved in the shape of the letter S.
The term most commonly refers to the curved trap beneath a sink or toilet that holds water to block sewer gases from rising into the room.
S-bends also appear in roads, rivers, and other paths that curve twice in opposite directions: The car fishtailed through the S-bend.
