Quadding is the practice of riding all-terrain vehicles (ATVs or "quads") recreationally, typically off-road: We went quadding in the dunes last weekend.
The term parallels other recreational vehicle activities like mudding or wheeling.
In typography, quadding refers to inserting blank spacing material to fill out a line of type.
