prop guns
Stage weapon fakes
Prop guns are firearms or firearm replicas used in film, television, and theater productions.
They range from completely non-functional rubber or plastic models to real weapons modified to fire blanks.
The term gained wider public attention after fatal on-set accidents: The investigation focused on who loaded the prop gun with live ammunition.
