airsoft
Plastic pellet combat
Airsoft is a competitive shooting sport using replica firearms that fire small plastic pellets.
The guns are designed to look realistic but shoot at low velocities, making the sport safer than paintball while requiring an honor system—players must acknowledge when they're hit.
We played airsoft in the woods all afternoon.
The term also describes the equipment itself: an airsoft rifle, airsoft pellets.
