flightpath
Plane's planned course
A flightpath is the route an aircraft follows through the air, whether planned or actual.
The term applies to the trajectory of anything airborne—missiles, birds, golf balls.
In aviation, controllers manage flightpaths to maintain safe separation: The pilot requested a change in flightpath to avoid turbulence.
Also spelled as two words: flight path.
