projection booth
Theater's control room
A projection booth is the small enclosed room at the back or top of a theater from which films are projected onto the screen.
The booth houses projectors, sound equipment, and traditionally a projectionist who operates the machinery.
In modern multiplexes, digital projection has reduced the need for constant human presence, but the term persists: The light from the projection booth flickered.
