pressings

Oil extraction batches

Pressings is the plural of pressing, a noun referring to objects made by applying pressure—especially vinyl records produced from a master: First pressings of that album are worth thousands.

In winemaking or olive oil production, pressings are batches extracted at different stages: The first pressings yield the finest oil.

The word also covers residue left after pressing juice or oil from fruit.
