sheet steel
Rolled thin iron
Sheet steel is steel that has been rolled into thin, flat pieces, typically less than a quarter inch thick.
It serves as a basic industrial material for manufacturing car bodies, appliances, roofing, and countless other products: The factory stamps sheet steel into fender panels.
Thicker material is called plate steel.
