phosphite
Fungicide active ingredient
Phosphite is a salt or ester of phosphorous acid, containing phosphorus in a lower oxidation state than in phosphates.
Phosphites are used as fungicides in agriculture and as stabilizers in plastics to prevent degradation from heat and light: The farmer applied a phosphite treatment to control downy mildew.
