pathological
Morbidly driven, unhealthy
Pathological means relating to disease or its study: pathological changes in tissue, a pathological examination.
More commonly, it describes behavior so extreme or compulsive it seems diseased: a pathological liar, pathological jealousy, pathological fear of rejection.
The implication is that the person can't help themselves—the behavior is beyond normal control or reason.
