mutational
Relating to alterations
Mutational describes something relating to or involving mutation—a change in genetic material or, more broadly, any fundamental alteration.
The term appears most often in scientific contexts: mutational analysis, mutational processes in cancer cells.
It can also describe evolutionary or transformative changes more generally: the mutational pressures that shaped the species.
