midrange
Neither extreme end
Midrange describes the middle portion of a range or spectrum.
In audio, midrange frequencies fall between bass and treble—the range where most vocals and instruments sit.
Midrange products or options occupy the middle tier between budget and premium: a midrange smartphone, midrange pricing.
In basketball, a midrange shot is taken from inside the three-point line but outside the paint.
