leveller
Makes things even
A leveller is something or someone that eliminates distinctions or reduces things to the same level.
Death is often called the great leveller because it comes to everyone regardless of status.
The word also describes tools for making surfaces flat, or historically, members of the 17th-century English political movement advocating equality before the law.
Also spelled leveler.
