reckoning
Moment of judgment
Reckoning is the act of calculating or settling accounts—literally or figuratively.
A ship's dead reckoning estimates position from speed and direction.
The day of reckoning is when consequences finally arrive, debts come due, or judgment falls.
To be a force to be reckoned with is to demand serious consideration.
By my reckoning means according to my calculation or estimation.
