levellers
Those who flatten
Levellers are people or things that make surfaces flat and even, or more broadly, anything that reduces differences or inequalities.
A bulldozer is a leveller of terrain; death is sometimes called the great leveller because it comes for everyone regardless of status.
The pandemic was a leveller—executives and janitors both worked from home. (Capitalized Levellers were a 17th-century English political movement.)
