key binding
Assigned keystroke command
A key binding is a keyboard shortcut assigned to perform a specific action in software—pressing Ctrl+S to save, for instance.
Power users customize key bindings to match their workflow: I changed my key bindings so Escape exits insert mode.
Also called a hotkey or keyboard shortcut.
